Venice Florida
Last week Mack, Virginia and our photographer Casey traveled around Florida to many of the locations of the Ocala Heart Institute to take photos, meet with the teams of doctors, PAs, nurses and support staff. We were gathering information and getting to know the teams in Winter Haven, Stuart, Venice and Citrus to help us create websites for each of the locations. We enjoyed meeting with everyone and being able to put faces and voices with many of the folks we are in contact with from a distance. Interacting with one another is much more fluid now that we’ve had a chance to chat, clarify our goals, and share ideas and concerns with most of the stakeholders involved in this process. Something is special about meeting someone’s eyes and being able to share the same vision (literally and figuratively).

We were also privileged to have access to many of the CV-ICUs of the hospitals and see where the work of OHI happens across the state. For some team photos while we were in Citrus, we had to bunny-up in order to go into one of the Operating Rooms. Yes, we took plenty of photos of the team there. It wasn’t about us. But the attire we had to wear was so new and certainly not routine for us, that we had to snap some photos of ourselves to share. They told us we could keep the outfits, but I’m not sure any of us did — or will ever admit it.
