Virginia Kiddy, Project Coordinator
Ginna oversees projects from the initial phase of development to site completion and ongoing support. Ginna is the traffic controller, organizing and getting information where it needs to go. She also takes care of the copywriting and editing processes. She works with clients to develop relevant and appropriate content while making SEO standards naturally part of the writing she produces and manages. She also proofs/reviews websites and other projects to ensure every last detail has been taken care of.
A misplaced comma, an apostrophe turned the wrong way, an extra space between sentences — they all leap off the screen at her. When editing over projects to make sure they’re ready for publishing, she checks for everything from making sure links navigate properly to verifying phone numbers, names and addresses. She loves knowing the rules of English so she can break them with good reason.
She has a bachelor’s degree majoring in journalism editing and minoring in English writing from the University of Central Florida. She worked for a couple years as a news editor, copy and slot editor at a Gannett-owned newspaper. Aside from her various editing roles, she’s been published in the Orlando Sentinel and local magazines. For the last few years, she’s also worked writing and editing marketing materials.
Among her other responsibilities, she has to write her own biography in the third person. Awkward.
